The “Golden Broom Award” program was recently announced by the HBRP as their newest endeavor.

The recognition will be awarded each quarter to those borough businesses that go above and beyond in maintaining an attractive, neat and clean business exterior that is welcoming and appealing—for demonstrating an exemplary pride in their business that shines through on the borough as a whole.

After discussing several nominations, the committee chose Yōgamōs to receive the award for the significant visible impact the business has made to the borough’s Main Street in the short time that it’s been there.

Co-owners Stephanie and Chris MoDavis opened the yoga studio in May, and it has been attracting a steady clientele ever since.

Yōgamōs' customers and the public are encouraged to attend the award presentation, which will precede the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce’s annual “Light Up Night” at 6 p.m. at Detwiller Plaza and Borough Hall.

The Light Up Night will feature hot chocolate and cookies, music, the tree lighting ceremony and Santa's arrival in Hellertown, along with photos with Santa.

Yōgamōs is the partnering effort of husband and wife team, Stephanie and Christopher. According to their website, both are Bethlehem natives and have been together for over a decade. They’ve dedicated their lives to teaching yoga because through the course of their relationship, which has included battles with severe illness and injury, yoga has “helped them to remain calm, humorous, and incredibly strong in the face of adversity.”

The business also maintains a Facebook page.
