New SVSB Member to Appear on November Ballot

Mark Sivak, who was appointed to fill a vacant seat on the Saucon Valley School Board this summer, is running to complete the unfinished term.

A Saucon Valley School Board member who was appointed to fill a board vacancy this summer has filed a petition to appear on the November ballot, the Express-Times reported.

Mark Sivak of Lower Saucon Township was appointed to the board when Sharon Stack resigned because of a family move.

Her unfinished term, which he is seeking to fill, expires in December 2015.

Seven candidates are running for four other open seats on the board in November.

One of those seats is temporarily being filled by Eric Adams, who was appointed to fill it until the end of the year when board member Lanita Lum resigned in July.
