L. Saucon Woman Pleads Guilty to Assault on Garbageman

A Lower Saucon Township woman who was charged last spring with assaulting a Reiss Bros. garbageman has pleaded guilty.

A Lower Saucon Township woman who was charged last spring with assaulting a Reiss Bros. garbageman has pleaded guilty to simple assault in Northampton County Court, the Morning Call reported.

According to an article published by the newspaper, Sarah M. Hart, 49, of North Drive, indicated that psychological problems led to a brief hospitalization in September, and a review of her mental health background will be conducted before she is sentenced Dec. 20.

At the time of her arrest, police said Hart had also belittled the man who was attempting to pick up garbage at her home.

Police said Hart threw her garbage on the ground before telling the man, "Pick it up with your teeth because you are a garbageman, you drive a garbage truck and I drive a Range Rover."

Hart then hit the hauler on the side of his face, breaking a tooth and causing redness, police said.
