4 Charged With Making Meth on Main Street

Four people were arraigned on charges related to the alleged manufacturing of methamphetamine in a Hellertown home.

Four people were formally charged in district court in Lower Saucon Township Tuesday afternoon with manufacturing methamphetamine in a second-floor apartment at 166 Main St., Hellertown, according to an Express-Times report.

Chad Hummer, 30, Joan Hummer, 53, Lindsey Zacot, 24, and Nicholas Reynolds, 26, cooked and distributed the drug from the home, which was also occupied by a 12-year-old child, the article indicated.

Members of the Northampton County Drug Task Force and the Pennsylvania State Police Clandestine Lab Response Team executed a search warrant at the home early Tuesday morning.

Police later issued a press release that indicated that all potentially hazardous items had been removed from the building and that there was no threat to the public.
