Pearl Z. Reiss died Sunday, June 30, 2013.

Pearl Z. Reiss, 89, of Hellertown, died Sunday, June 30, 2013 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township. She was the wife of Meryl John Reiss. She was born in Hellertown on March 1, 1924 to the late Elmer E. and Verna (Muschlitz) Zimpfer. Pearl worked at the former Bethlehem Steel and was a seamstress all her life. Pearl attended Bethlehem Business College and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Hellertown, where she served on its Altar Guild.

SURVIVORS

In addition to her loving husband of 69 years last Dec. 24; mother to Jere L. and his wife Phyllis (Hoffert) Reiss of Coopersburg, Thomas D. and his wife Pamela (Hirjak) Reiss of Easton, John M. and his wife Susan (Whitman) Reiss of Hellertown; sister to Carol (Zimpfer) Mench wife of Donald of Coopersburg; grandmother to six grandchildren and great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by siblings: William and Theodore, and Arlene (Zimpfer) Raub.

SERVICE    

Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Christ Lutheran Church, 69 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
