Jose Angel Mojica-Sanchez Jr., 16, of Hellertown [Obituary]

After a long and courageous battle with leukemia, Jose Angel Mojica-Sanchez Jr., 16, of Hellertown, earned his angel wings on July 27, 2013. He was surrounded by his loving family. Born in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Jose A. Mojica and Brenda J. Sanchez.

Angel was a student at Saucon Valley High School. He loved animals, playing XBOX Gears of War, and wearing his many animal hats. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Jose and Brenda; brothers, Anthony Colon, Danny and Ivaniel Rodriguez; paternal grandmother, Maria Carrillo; maternal grandparents, Nayda Torres and Carlos Sanchez; three nieces and one nephew; aunts, uncles, cousins; and his beloved dog Prince.

Viewing hours will be held on Friday, Aug. 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3 at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. Fourth St., Bethlehem. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, and/or Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
