Matthew A. Tavares, 24, of Hellertown, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at St. Luke's University Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was born in Fountain Hill on Sept. 22, 1988 to Donna M. (Neith) Campbell and Manuel A. Tavares, both of Hellertown. Matthew loved TV, ice cream, playing with his trucks, Barney and Big Bird. Matthew was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Lower Saucon and Miracle Baseball League.

In addition to his loving parents: stepfather: Glenn J. Campbell of Hellertown; sisters: Melissa L. (Clay F.) Howard of Whitehall, Megan G. Campbell of Hellertown; maternal grandmother: Anna Mae Neith of Hellertown; paternal grandparents: Antonio A. and Beatriz D. Tavares of Bethlehem.

SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lisa K. Borrell officiating. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
