Police: Man Sold Stolen Wheels to Hellertown Business

Stolen aluminum auto wheels sold to Blinderman Recycling

A Bethlehem man has been charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly having 58 aluminum automobile wheels he recently sold to a Hellertown recycling business, according to court records. Hellertown Patrolman Mike Twerdi observed the suspect, Patrick Allen O’Toole, 52, of 245 W. Fairview St., around 7:05 pm Sunday “prowling” in a wooded area along the rear of H. Blinderman & Son Recycling at 1320 Whitaker St., “a business which has been victim to recent burglaries with entry gained from that exact location,” the records say. Twerdi placed O’Toole under “investigative detention” then discovered that on Nov. 11 “the defendant sold Blinderman 58 aluminum auto wheels which were confirmed stolen,” the records say.
