This brick building at 320 Front St., Hellertown, dates from the 1850s. Its proximity to the Saucon Rail Trail has made it an attractive candidate for adaptive reuse, officials have said. Tell us your ideas in the comments below.

I'm not a chemist, but I am a lover of history and historic preservation. Instead of finding reasons to tear the building down, figuratively and literally, why not find a proper use that preserves its integrity, regardless of its original purpose. I've known that building since I was a kid - I'm now 61 - and it has withstood at least one fire and lots of thrown rocks. I'd be delighted to serve on…   more ›

The location's biggest drawback for a business is that it is not handicap accessible. I think that the best use maybe the first use - as a residence, but sub-divided. If that's what happens, there are the hurtles of parking, undated electrical, plumbing, heat, and other code requirements. So many hurtles that it may require a pole vaulter (with deep pockets).   more ›

It actually was a fine restaurant, ten or fifteen years back, but went downhill fast under it's last owners. It will need a complete makeover to build it's image again. Probably too much of an expense.   more ›
