Police in Lower Saucon Township, Hellertown and Freemansburg plan to conduct "roving patrols" this weekend, in response to the increased amount of impaired driving which typically occurs over Super Bowl Weekend. Super Bowl XLV will be played on Sunday, when the Pittsburgh Steelers battle the Green Bay Packers at 6:30pm. A public service announcement issued by the Lower Saucon Township Police Department Wednesday cautions anyone who plans to consume alcohol over the weekend to "make sure you have a designated driver in your starting line up."
