E. Saucon Street Argument 'Became Physical,' Records Say

April Lynn Levy, 32, of the first block of E. Saucon Street, was charged with simple assault and harassment after she allegedly scratched a man's neck during an argument.

A Hellertown woman who was "visibly intoxicated" and had "blood on her hands and under her nails" was charged with assaulting a man early Thursday, court records say. Drunken Man Pushed Woman on Stairs, Police Say

Hellertown Police say Gary James Harrison, 56, of the 900 block of Magnolia Road, was drunk when he pushed a woman on stairs and another person into furniture.

A "visibly intoxicated" Hellertown man who allegedly assaulted two people inside his home last Friday night was taken into police custody after he grabbed an officer and refused to let go, court records say. Gary James Harrison, 56, is accused of assaulting Melissa Harrison and Bryce Harrison inside the home in the 900 block of Magnolia Road. Police arrived around 10:30 p.m. A criminal complaint does not specify the relationships among the three Harrisons. But Northampton County tax records say the home is owned by Gary J. Harrison and Melissa L. Harrison. The complaint, filed by borough Patrolman Carl Fischer, says Melissa and Bryce told police Gary was intoxicated and became "physically combative."  They said Gary pushed Melissa on a …

Drunk Tried to Punch Cabbie in Head, Police Say

Hellertown Police say Christopher Shane Thomas, 38, of the 400 block of Front Street, tried to punch a cab driver in the head in the 1200 block of Main Street Jan. 28.

A Hellertown man was arrested on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness Jan. 28, after police say he threatened to assault a cab driver. In a news release, police identified the man as Christopher Shane Thomas, 38, of the 400 block of Front Street, Hellertown, and said he also attempted to punch the cabbie in the head. Police said the alleged incident occurred in the 1200 block of Main Street at about 9 p.m. Thomas was arrested and released following an investigation, authorities added.

Borough Resident Allegedly Chased Man With Knife

According to court records, Russell Luke Dimmick, 30, of 502 Henry St., allegedly brandished a hunting knife while he chased a woman and her boyfriend in his home.

A Hellertown man threatened to kill a woman and her boyfriend as he brandished a 4-inch, single-edge hunting knife, and at one point chased the boyfriend around a home’s basement with the knife, court records say. The records do not specify the relationship between the suspect, Russell Luke Dimmick, 30, and the woman, identified as Kristy Dimmick. But Northampton County property records say the home involved, at 502 Henry St. in the borough, is owned by Luke and Kristy Dimmick. And a criminal complaint in the case lists Russell Dimmick’s address as 502 Henry St. Hellertown Police Patrolman Tim Piotrowski, who filed the criminal complaint, said he arrived at the Henry Street home shortly before 6pm Sunday--almost three hours after the …

Police: Woman Tackled Boyfriend on West Saucon Street

Amanda Beveridge, of Bethlehem Township, was charged with simple assault and harassment following the alleged incident.

A Bethlehem Township woman tackled her boyfriend off the deck at a home in Hellertown Friday night, borough police say. According to court records, police were called to 55 W. Saucon St. for the report of a domestic disturbance. At the scene, a man named Dustin Hennniger told police his girlfriend, Amanda Beveridge, had hit him and tackled him off the deck, causing a bloody and swollen lip. Court records say Beveridge, 22, of 3625 Miller St., "suffered the onset of an issue" that caused her to be briefly hospitalized. After she was released, police say she admitted to hitting and tackling her boyfriend. She was arraigned before District Judge Daniel Corpora in Easton and charged with simple assault and harassment. Police: Drunk Poplar Road Resident Fought With Neighbor

Hellertown Police say Lucy Love, 65, of 862 Poplar Road, was arrested for simple assault, harassment, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after she allegedly fought with a neighbor while intoxicated on Aug. 29.

Editor's Note: Lucy Love was cleared of all charges related to the Aug. 29 incident on Dec. 12, 2012. A Hellertown woman was arrested for disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, harassment and simple assault Aug. 29, after police say she fought with a neighbor while drunk. In a press release issued Thursday, borough police said they arrived at 868 Poplar Road at approximately 7pm to find Lucy Love, 65, "visibly intoxicated." Police said that Love, of 862 Poplar Road, had been observed by witnesses fighting with her next door neighbor. In the press release, police characterized the incident involving Love as a "neighborhood disturbance."

Following Alleged Assault, Woman Found on Sidewalk

According to court records, a Hellertown woman who was found lying on the sidewalk in the 100 block of Main Street Monday told police she had been assaulted by her husband.

A Hellertown police officer was driving north in the 100 block of Main Street close to midnight Monday when he spotted a woman lying on the sidewalk, according to court records. When Patrolman Michael Twerdi got to her side, she said she had been punched in the face by her husband--Jason Bauer, according to the records. She was lying in front of their home, 127 Main St. Twerdi said he saw a “visible swelling injury” above her left eye and bruising on her right arm.  Bauer, 31, was charged with simple assault and harassment. He was arraigned Tuesday by District Judge Jackie Taschner of Palmer Township and committed to Northampton County Prison after failing to post $10,000 bail.

Man Drove Over Woman's Feet, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say Louis Michael Tsihlis, 49, of Washington Township, drove over Lisa Giaquinto's feet following a dispute about a roommate that occurred on Camac Avenue.

A Lower Saucon Township resident suffered a broken toenail and possibly a broken toe Sunday afternoon, after an acquaintance allegedly drove over her feet following an argument about a roommate. In a press release Monday, township police said Louis Michael Tsihlis, 49, of the 200 block of Bangor Junction Road, Washington Township, drove over the feet of Lisa Giaquinto, 28, of the 2100 block of Camac Avenue. The Express-Times reported Monday that Tsihlis is Giaquinto's ex-boyfriend, and that she was in the road picking up clothes at the time of the incident. After officers responded to the home, they observed black tire marks on Giaquinto's feet, according to the police press release. Tsihlis was arrested on simple assault and harassment …

Borough Man Charged With Simple Assault, Harassment On Jan. 6 at 3:23pm police say they responded to a domestic disturbance at 937 Easton Road. Police say they arrested Jared M. Hall, 28, of that address, following an alleged altercation that involved his girlfriend. Hall was charged with simple assault and harassment under the Domestic Violence Law, and was arraigned before District Judge Daniel Corpora before being released on $5,000 unsecured bail, police said. Man Caused Incident at Hess Express, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township police say a Coopersburg man assaulted another patron at the Route 378 gas station Dec. 9.

On Dec. 9 at 3:13pm, Lower Saucon Township police responded to an alleged incident at Hess Express at 3622 Rt. 378. According to a police department press release issued Saturday, Francis Martin, of Coopersburg, struck another vehicle at the gas station's pumps. Police said Martin also "struck the operator of the other vehicle in the face." Authorities did not identify the individual who was assaulted or explain what provoked the incident, but said Martin has been charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment.
