Man Got Upset, Kicked Woman's Car: Police

Lower Saucon Township Police say Victor Martinez, 25, of the 3700 block of Old Philadelphia Pike, became upset after his daughter's mother refused to leave the girl with him.

A Lower Saucon Township man will be cited for criminal mischief, after police say he "became agitated" and kicked his daughter's mother's vehicle following a failed child custody exchange. In a news release, police said Victor Martinez, 25, of the 3700 block of Old Philadelphia Pike, kicked the car after the girl's mother refused to leave her with him "when she found out (Martinez) was drinking." The vehicle suffered minor damage in the April 21 incident, police said.

Hit-And-Run Vehicle Sought in Old Philadelphia Pike Crash

Lower Saucon Township Police say a white vehicle struck a parked car in the 3500 block of Old Philadelphia Pike.

Lower Saucon Township Police are asking members of the public for information about a white vehicle they say is responsible for a hit-and-run accident. In a news release, police said the hit-and-run happened in the 3500 block of Old Philadelphia Pike at about 3 a.m. April 6. Police said the northbound white vehicle struck a parked car along the side of the roadway and then fled the scene. Anyone with information about the accident can call police at 610-317-6110.

$700 Generator Stolen in L. Saucon, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say a Coleman generator valued at $700 was stolen from the 3700 block of Old Philadelphia Pike.

A black and red Coleman generator valued at $700 was reported stolen from a property in the 3700 block of Old Philadelphia Pike March 30, Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release. Police said the generator was stolen from the south side of a residence sometime after 1pm on March 29. Anyone with information about the theft or the missing generator is asked to call the Lower Saucon Township Police Department at 610-317-6110.

It actually was a fine restaurant, ten or fifteen years back, but went downhill fast under it's last owners. It will need a complete makeover to build it's image again. Probably too much of an expense.   more ›

Occupied Home Broken Into, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say at least one unidentified person broke into a home in the 3500 block of Old Philadelphia Pike on Dec. 11 at approximately 10pm.

Lower Saucon Township Police announced Wednesday that they are seeking information about the identity of at least one person who reportedly broke into a home in the 3500 block of Old Philadelphia Pike Monday at about 10pm. According to a police department press release, the burglar or burglars may have entered the home through a bathroom window. At the scene, resident Ritz Vazquez told officers that after she heard someone in her home an empty bedroom was entered and a light turned on. At least one suspect then entered her bedroom "and noticed that she was home," according to the press release. "The actor(s) then left the home," police said, adding that there was another family member home at the time of the break-in. Officers responded to…

Police: Men with Spiked Hair Suspected in Necklace Theft

The unknown suspects posed as contractors in order to gain access to a Lower Saucon resident's home, according to authorities.

Lower Saucon Township police are searching for two men who allegedly stole a necklace from a township resident May 26. According to a police department press release, the two men "with spiked hair" were driving a small blue vehicle--possibly a truck--when they stopped at a residence on Old Philadelphia Pike and told its owner that they were contractors capable of doing driveway repair. One of the men then asked to use the woman's bathroom, while the other man spoke to the woman about her driveway, police said. Then, when the first man returned, the other man used the bathroom, they added. The two men subsequently left, and the following day the resident noticed that a necklace with an estimated value of $2,000 was missing, police said.

Township Resident Reports Metal Objects Stolen

According to Lower Saucon Township police, several metal objects were reported stolen from in front of an Old Philadelphia Pike residence May 4.

After being approached by a Hispanic male who asked him if he wanted to get rid of any scrap metal, Edward Huff, of 3531 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lower Saucon Township, was the victim of a theft in which several metal objects were taken from in front of his residence, Lower Saucon Township police reported May 5. According to police, Huff was approached by the man at about 4pm May 4.  Huff reportedly told the man he did not have any scrap metal he wanted to get rid of, and the man then reportedly left with a Hispanic woman in a late 1990s Dodge pickup truck. The truck was described by police as being "two-tone, light blue over silver with a red pinstripe." Huff later left his residence and was gone from 7 to 8pm, police said. Upon returning, …

Lower Saucon Police Issue Warning to Residents

Police say after a man entered an elderly woman's home under the guise of doing work for the water department, another man attempted to steal items.

UPDATE: In response to the Jan. 19 incident in which a man gained access to a resident's home under the guise of being a water department employee, the Lower Saucon Authority, which provides water and sewer services to most of the township, has posted an information statement and alert on its website. All Lower Saucon Authority employees carry photo identification with them in the field, and residents are advised to ask anyone attempting to gain access to their homes to produce identification if they wish to verify his employment. During regular business hours, residents may also call the authority at 610-317-3212 if they are in doubt about someone's credentials.
