Lower Saucon Township Police say Brenda Anema, of the 4100 block of Countryside Lane, drove 'straight into' a yard when she mistook a private driveway for Buttermilk Road.
A Lower Saucon Township woman was arrested for DUI, after police said she mistook a private driveway in the 4300 block of Lower Saucon Road for the turnoff to Buttermilk Road and drove "straight into the yard." In a news release, township police said Brenda Anema, of the 4100 block of Countryside Lane, was first observed driving "all over the road" by an officer on patrol near the I-78 overpass on Applebutter Road. As the officer followed her, police said he observed Anema fail to stop at a stop sign at Applebutter and Lower Saucon roads. Lower Saucon Township Police say Luis A. Guerriero, 56, of the township, will be cited for driving too fast for conditions as a result of an accident on Lower Saucon Road.
A Lower Saucon Township man will be cited for driving too fast for conditions, as a result of an accident that occurred on Lower Saucon Road, township police announced in a news release. According to police, Luis A. Guerriero, 56, of the 2000 block of Polk Valley Road, lost control of his vehicle north of Crestline Drive. Police say Guerriero's 2002 Subaru Outback struck a tree before coming to rest on an embankment. The car "sustained disabling damage" and Guerriero was injured, they added. The accident occurred at approximately 6:27 a.m. April 30, according to authorities.

Lower Saucon Township Police say Chrystyna M. Fenchen, of the 3600 block of Lower Saucon Road, has been charged with DUI.
A township woman has been charged with DUI, after Lower Saucon Township Police say she was found unconscious behind the wheel of her vehicle with an open bottle of vodka in her lap, according to Lower Saucon Township Police. In a news release, police said Chrystyna M. Fenchen, of the 3600 block of Lower Saucon Road, was "found parked on an angle across her driveway" at 8:36 p.m. April 25. Prior to pulling into her driveway, police said Fenchen "was seen driving 'all over the road.'" Fenchen refused both field sobriety tests and a blood draw, according to police.

Lower Saucon Township Police say Tiffany Jacoby, 25, of Palmerton, was arrested for DUI after she apparently became lost while driving to Wawa on a food errand.
A Gracedale employee was arrested March 4 on drunken driving charges after she got lost—for two hours—while on a food errand. Tiffany Jacoby, 25, of the 800 block of Princeton Avenue, Palmerton, had a .18 percent blood-alcohol content when, at 2:22am, Lower Saucon Township police spotted her parked car in the middle of Lower Saucon Road near the Redington Road intersection. According to police, Jacoby said she was headed to Wawa to pick up food for herself and her Gracedale colleagues. The nearest Wawa to Gracedale, the county nursing home in Upper Nazareth Township, is in nearby Lower Nazareth Township. The trip, according to MapQuest, is about three miles. Lower Saucon Township Police say two men from Williams Township now face charges related to a Dec. 17 car accident that occurred on Lower Saucon Road near Crestline Drive.
After officers responded to a one-vehicle accident on Lower Saucon Road near Crestline Drive Dec. 17, police say they were informed by an EMT that the vehicle's 20-year-old passenger was in possession of a glass pipe and three cans of beer. In a press release, police identified the passenger as Aaron Steven Winkler, of the first block of Longhill Drive, Williams Township, and said that in addition to the pipe and three cans of Natural Ice he was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana, a grinder, empty pill bottles for medications not prescribed to him, and two prescription bottles with the labels removed from them. Lower Saucon Township Police say a juvenile male broke another boy's collarbone Dec. 29.
A Lower Saucon boy has been charged with simple assault and harassment, after he allegedly picked up another boy and threw him to the ground Dec. 29, township police said Tuesday. In a press release, police said the victim of the assault landed on his left shoulder and suffered a broken collarbone in the attack. Police said the fight occurred on Lower Saucon Road at about 10pm. The victim, authorities said, is from Springtown, Springfield Township.

Lower Saucon Township Police say John A. Limpar, 52, of Lower Saucon, backed the school bus he was driving into another vehicle on Monday morning.
A Saucon Valley School District bus driver was cited for "Limitations on Backing" on Monday, Oct. 22, after he allegedly backed his school bus into another vehicle on Lower Saucon Road. In a press release about the incident, Lower Saucon Township Police said the accident occurred before 9am between Martins Lane and Silver Creek Road. That area is in a rural section of the township. School bus driver John A. Limpar, 52, of Helms Road, Lower Saucon Township, "failed to observe another vehicle stopped directly behind him, (and) as a result struck the vehicle bumper/engine, causing the vehicle to have moderate damage," police said. Lower Saucon Township Police say Michael Kiefer, of the 4300 block of Lower Saucon Road, was cited for a township firearms ordinance violation Sept. 29.
A township man was cited for a firearms ordinance violation Sept. 29, Lower Saucon Township Police said Thursday in a press release. According to police, officers were dispatched to the 4300 block of Lower Saucon Road for a report of "shots fired" at 1:34pm. Police said it was determined that the shooting was coming from the property of Michael Kiefer, 4310 Lower Saucon Road. There, Kiefer and two other people were allegedly shooting pistols at a backstop that was insufficient to stop bullets from leaving Kiefer's property, according to authorities.

Lower Saucon Township Police say William Broad, of 4303 Lower Saucon Road, became irate Aug. 23, after officers responded to his home because his tractor knocked over a street sign.
A Lower Saucon Township man was cited for disorderly conduct Aug. 23, after he allegedly became angry and screamed obscenities at police officers at his home. In a press release, police said William Broad, of 4303 Lower Saucon Road, "became very irate" with the officers, who responded to his home in the middle of the afternoon. Police said Broad--who last year was accused of exposing himself to a neighbor-- initially called police to report that a street sign had been knocked over by his tractor. Broad was also reported to be in a dispute with a neighbor last year. He was cited because he shouted the obscenities while "there were neighbors within hearing distance, as well as Broad's juvenile son," police said.

Lower Saucon Township Police say the unidentified operator of a Subaru struck two post-mounted mailboxes on Lower Saucon Road July 29.
Lower Saucon Township Police say they are seeking help from the public in identifying the operator of a vehicle that struck two mailboxes on Lower Saucon Road July 29. In a press release, police said the mailboxes of Brion Vallone, 3903 Lower Saucon Road, and Jeffrey Surovi, 3902 Lower Saucon Road, were struck at approximately 3:30am in a hit-and-run accident. Pieces of the offending vehicle that were left at the scene indicate that it was a Subaru, police said. Damage to the steel post that the mailboxes were mounted to "indicates that the Subaru should have moderate to heavy passenger side damage," they added. Anyone with information regarding the vehicle or its owner is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Police Department at 610-317-6110.
