Boy Found With Heroin, Police Say

Hellertown police say a recent Main Street traffic stop led to discovery of drugs in a juvenile's possession.

A boy was arrested and referred to Northampton County Juvenile Probation Feb. 15, after police say he was found in possession of heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, following a 9:37 p.m. traffic stop in the 700 block of Main Street. Police said the juvenile faces charges of possession of controlled substances (heroin), possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police did not release any other information about the boy or what prompted them to make the vehicle stop in their March 5 news release about the incident.

Teen Allegedly Shot Door, Fled With Synthetic Drug

Hellertown Police say a 17-year-old male allegedly shot into a door at a home in the 1000 block of Easton Road before fleeing with a type of synthetic marijuana known as "Black Magic."

A 17-year-old boy was arrested Aug. 25 following an incident that allegedly began at a home in the 1000 block of Easton Road. According to borough police, officers were dispatched to the home at 10:41am after receiving a report of a "male who was shooting a door in the residence." The teen fled, but was apprehended a short time later by officers who allegedly recovered from him a loaded pistol, ammunition, carbon dioxide cartridges and a small amount of a type of synthetic marijuana known as "Black Magic." Police said a referral to juvenile authorities will be sent to the teen via mail.

The following incidents have been reported by the Hellertown Police Department: Police Investigating Delaware Avenue Burglary Police say that between 5pm on July 27 and 8:41am on July 28 a home in the 400 block of Delaware Avenue was broken into. The following incidents have been reported by the Hellertown Police Department: Juvenile Girls Arrested for Public Intoxication Police say that at 9:15pm on May 14 they arrested two juvenile females--one 14 years old and one 15 years old--for public intoxication in front of 222 Northampton St. A search related to the arrest resulted in the discovery of 10 "Schedule 4" narcotic pills, police said. While in custody, one of the two girls "wrote on the wall inside the (police) station," they added. Charges of possession of a controlled substance, criminal mischief and public intoxication were filed accordingly against the juveniles, police said. 17-Year-Old Cited for Alleged Cough Syrup Theft

Police say the male juvenile stole a bottle of Nyquil from the Lower Saucon Township Giant supermarket on April 12.

Lower Saucon Township police have cited a 17-year-old male juvenile from Upper Saucon Township for retail theft, after an investigation revealed that he allegedly took a bottle of Nyquil cough syrup valued at $10.97 from the Giant supermarket in the township's Creekside Marketplace shopping center early on the morning of April 12. According to a news release, police obtained a photo of the juvenile and a photo of his vehicle on the date of the alleged theft. He was cited April 18, after he was identified by a Lower Saucon police officer who observed a vehicle matching the vehicle in the photo, police said.

17-Year-Old Damaged School Property, Police Say

The youth allegedly drove his vehicle onto school district property near Reservoir Road and Panther Way.

A 17-year-old male damaged Saucon Valley School District property when he drove his vehicle off Panther Way, police said April 7. According to a Lower Saucon Township Police Department press release, an officer observed the juvenile leave the roadway and drive on school property in the area of the district athletic field near Panther Way and Reservoir Road. The incident happened at 9:53pm April 2 and resulted in approximately $125 in damage according to a school district estimate, police said. The juvenile has been cited for criminal mischief and ordered to pay restitution, according to police.
