Man Allegedly Stole Thousands in Jewelry

Dylan William Cawley, 25, of Easton, is accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from a Hellertown apartment in January.

A Hellertown woman knew some relatives would be at her Main Street apartment hanging Christmas decorations while she was out of town for a few days last month. But what she didn’t know was that one of the relatives, according to police, would steal at least $6,050 of her jewelry, court records say. In fact, the suspect--Dylan William Cawley, 25, of Easton--told police he used a key that was in his mother’s possession to enter the apartment on three separate occasions Dec. 15, 16 and 17, the records say. Cawley said he went to the apartment “in order to steal a large amount of jewelry each time," the records say. Police: Thousands in Jewelry Stolen from Township Home

Lower Saucon Township police say approximately $3,000 in jewelry and an iPad were reported stolen from a Redington Road East home April 8.

Lower Saucon Township police say they are investigating the theft of approximately $3,000 in jewelry from a home in the 2500 block of Redington Road East. Police said in a press release that they were dispatched to the home at 1:48pm April 8. Taken from the home on Friday afternoon were the following items, police said: Police said the jewlery that was stolen is valued at approximately $3,000, and the iPad 2 is valued at $500. An investigation into the incident is continuing, and anyone with information related to it is asked to call the Lower Saucon Police Department at 610-317-6110 and ask for Investigator Leidy.
