Borough Police Investigating Another Hit-and-Run

Hellertown Police say they are investigating a hit-and-run auto accident that occurred July 26 or July 27 at East Clarke Street and First Avenue.

Hellertown Police announced Wednesday that they are investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred at East Clarke Street and First Avenue late last month. The announcement followed news that police are investigating two other hit-and-run accidents in the borough, one of which reportedly occurred on First Avenue. In the latest incident, police say a vehicle believed to be white struck a parked car sometime between 7am on July 26 and 4:30pm July 27. Police said the accident was reported on July 27 at 7:13pm. Anyone with information regarding the hit-and-run is asked to contact the Hellertown Police Department at 610-838-7040.

Police Investigating Hit-and-Run Accident in Front of Liquor Store

Lower Saucon police say an unidentified older woman driving a blue BMW convertible struck two parked cars in the Creekside Marketplace shopping center parking lot June 29.

Lower Saucon Township police say they are investigating a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident that occurred June 29 in front of the Wine and Spirits Store in the Creekside Marketplace shopping center at 1864 Leithsville Road. According to police, at approximately 2:15pm "an older white female operating a blue BMW convertible struck a parked S-10 pick-up while backing out of the front row parking space in front of the Wine and Spirits Store." The driver "then struck a white pick-up which was parked in the handicapped space directly behind her vehicle," police added. Police Investigating Mailbox Damage on Apple Street

Lower Saucon police say the mailbox was damaged in a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident.

Lower Saucon Township police are seeking information regarding a damaged mailbox at 2266 Apple St. in the township. According to police, the mailbox was damaged in a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident that occurred May 21 at approximately 8pm. "The offending vehicle was traveling east on Apple Street when it struck the mailbox and just kept going," police said in a press release. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Police Department at 610-317-6110.
