Woman Hit Garbage Man, Told Him 'I Drive a Range Rover,' Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say Sarah Hart, of the 3500 block of North Drive, ordered a garbage man to pick up her trash with his teeth before pulling him from his truck and hitting him.

A Lower Saucon Township woman has been charged with assaulting a garbage man, according to township police, who also said that she attempted to humiliate the man. In a news release, police said Sarah Hart, of the 3500 block of North Drive, struck the man hard enough to break off a piece of one of his molars. The alleged incident occurred after the garbage truck the man was riding in initially passed Hart's residence, police said. Police said Hart didn't have her garbage out when the truck operated by Riess Bros. Hauling passed by on Wednesday afternoon, and that Hart called out for the truck to return to pick it up. Boy, 11, Hit Classmate in Face, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say an 11-year-old student at Saucon Valley Middle School was cited for disorderly conduct and harassment.

Lower Saucon Township Police said an 11-year-old boy was cited for harassment and disorderly conduct, after he allegedly struck another 11-year-old student in the face at Saucon Valley Middle School May 8. In a news release, police said the boy who struck his classmate was released to a parent after being cited.

Woman Texted 'Annoying' Messages, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say Theresa Patterson, of the first block of Silver Place, Hellertown, has been charged with harassment.

A Hellertown woman has been charged with harassment, after Lower Saucon Township Police say she texted several "bothering/annoying" messages to a township man ealier this month. In a news release police said Theresa Patterson, of the first block of Silver Place, "was warned in the past about these acts and (told) to stop." Police said Patterson also had been told she would be charged if she continued to send the texts.

E. Saucon Street Argument 'Became Physical,' Records Say

April Lynn Levy, 32, of the first block of E. Saucon Street, was charged with simple assault and harassment after she allegedly scratched a man's neck during an argument.

A Hellertown woman who was "visibly intoxicated" and had "blood on her hands and under her nails" was charged with assaulting a man early Thursday, court records say. April Lynn Levy, 32, of the first block of E. Saucon Street, is charged with simple assault and harassment. Borough Officer Christopher Lee Check writes in a criminal complaint that he and two other officers responded to the E. Saucon Street address at about 12:43 a.m. According to the complaint: Check first talked to the man, who had "visible scratches with blood on his neck." He then talked to Levy, "who was visibly intoxicated..." Wood-Chopping Sparked Roommate Ruckus, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say they responded to a disturbance involving two Connelly Avenue roommates.

A March 5 disturbance involving two roommates will result in a harassment citation for one of the men, Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release. Police said they responded to a report of a "domestic between roommates" in the 2100 block of Connelly Avenue at 5:40 p.m. After arriving, police say officers determined that Justin E. Zapka had pushed Timothy Hottenstein onto a table, knocking over a lamp. The dispute began because Hottenstein was splitting wood, which "disturbed" Zapka, police said. There were no injuries, according to police.

Drunken Man Pushed Woman on Stairs, Police Say

Hellertown Police say Gary James Harrison, 56, of the 900 block of Magnolia Road, was drunk when he pushed a woman on stairs and another person into furniture.

A "visibly intoxicated" Hellertown man who allegedly assaulted two people inside his home last Friday night was taken into police custody after he grabbed an officer and refused to let go, court records say. Gary James Harrison, 56, is accused of assaulting Melissa Harrison and Bryce Harrison inside the home in the 900 block of Magnolia Road. Police arrived around 10:30 p.m. A criminal complaint does not specify the relationships among the three Harrisons. But Northampton County tax records say the home is owned by Gary J. Harrison and Melissa L. Harrison. The complaint, filed by borough Patrolman Carl Fischer, says Melissa and Bryce told police Gary was intoxicated and became "physically combative."  They said Gary pushed Melissa on a …

Broken Neck Threat Leads to Arrest, Police Say

Nicholas William Binczak, 18, of Lower Saucon Township, was charged with terroristic threats, stalking, harassment and criminal conspiracy after he allegedly threatened to break a Hellertown man's neck.

For a Hellertown man, his call to police about two men threatening him came in the nick of time, for it allowed an officer to hear one of the suspects say he was going to “break the victim’s (expletive) neck,” court records say. Not long after that, police stopped a 1993 Volvo and arrested Nicholas William Binczak, 18, and Christopher Michael Skelly, 19, both of Lower Saucon Township. When police arrived at the victim’s home in the 1300 block of Whitaker Street around 10am Thursday, they heard Binczak tell the victim by phone that he was almost at his house with "his boys," the records say. Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Teen Girls

Stephen S. Soultanian, of Drums, Luzerne County, sexually assaulted two teenage girls during a June sleepover, according to a criminal complaint filed Tuesday by Lower Saucon Township Police.

A 48-year-old man is accused of sexually assaulting two teenage girls in Lower Saucon Township and telling an adult female who heard what he was doing, “It was the cat,” court records say. Stephen S. Soultanian of Drums, Luzerne County, was taken into custody Tuesday in connection with two incidents--the alleged sexual assault in June and a harassment complaint in October involving the woman at the same Lower Saucon address. A criminal complaint filed by Lower Saucon Cpl. Christopher Leidy alleges that Soultanian assaulted the two girls at a sleepover at their friend’s house. One of the girls told Leidy she was sleeping on a couch “like an angel” when she was awakened by something touching her. She said the touching "hurt," and then she …

Twitter Fueled Teen Girls' Fight, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say a 17-year-old girl struck and pulled the hair of another 17-year-old girl at Saucon Valley High School Nov. 13.

Posts on the popular social media site Twitter provoked a fight between two teenage girls at Saucon Valley High School, police said in a press release Saturday. According to authorities, the fight occured at about 9:05 a.m. on Nov. 13. During the course of the fight, a 17-year-old girl struck another 17-year-old girl and pulled her hair, police said. After officers were dispatched to the school, "it was determined that the fight started because of items posted on Twitter," police added. One of the girls was cited for harassment.

Argument Over Radio Allegedly Leads to Hair-Pulling

Lower Saucon Township Police say Barry L. Gebhart also allegedly pushed and shoved Cindie K. Sabich after they became involved in an argument. Police said Sabich wanted to listen to talk radio, while Gebhart wanted to listen to music.

An argument about what to listen to in the workplace resulted in a harassment charge for a local employer, Lower Saucon Township Police reported Thursday. In a press release, police said Barry L. Gebhart, 72, of 2189 Rovaldi Avenue, and his employee Cindie K. Sabich, 48, of Allentown, began to argue on the afternoon of Oct. 24 because she wanted to listen to talk radio, while he wanted to listen to music. "The verbal argument became physical when (Gebhart) directed (Sabich) to leave his residence," which is also Sabich's place of employment, police said.  Gebhart then allegedly "pushed and shoved" Sabich and "grabbed strands of...(her) hair, removing it from her scalp," police added.
