Revolutions Manager Loses Job After Theft Charges Levied

James Fortunato was no longer employed by Revolutions at Saucon Valley as of Friday, the owner of the new Saucon Valley entertainment venue said. Fortunato is accused of embezzling more than $160,000 from a former employer.

Less than 24 hours after he welcomed VIP guests and dignitaries to the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for Revolutions at Saucon Valley, the new entertainment venue's general manager was no longer working there, according to published media sources that quoted parent company Frank Entertainment. But a lot can happen in less than 24 hours. It was unclear whether James Fortunato was fired from his new job or left voluntarily, but what is known is that the day after the ribbon-cutting in Lower Saucon Township, allegations surfaced that he embezzled more than $160,000 from Allentown's Cosmopolitan restaurant, where he was formerly the general manager. Revolutions at Saucon Valley to Cut Ribbon Jan. 24

The Lower Saucon Township entertainment venue's official public opening at 7pm, Jan. 24 will follow a 2-hour VIP Grand Opening Celebration that is to include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and live entertainment.

Although a "soft opening" was reportedly held Jan. 11, the much-anticipated official grand opening of a Dave & Buster's style entertainment venue called Revolutions at Saucon Valley is planned for the evening of Thursday, Jan. 24, according to an invitation that has been circulated. A private VIP Grand Opening Celebration will begin at 5pm and include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and live entertainment by Chris "Breeze" Barcynski, according to the invitation, which indicates that the 40,000 square-foot facility will house a bowling alley, a full-service restaurant, two bars, video and prize games, and a sports amphitheatre. Last weekend I stopped in around 6 p.m. with a friend to check out Revolutions and possibly eat dinner. We walked all through it to see what they had and saw that it was really geared for children and young people or 30ish couples with children. While checking it out we noticed at least 10 empty tables for two so we figured that we would give the food a try. However, the Maitre d' told us the …   more ›

The grand opening of a new multi-use biking and hiking trail system in Bucks County's Nockamixon State Park is scheduled for 10am at the Haycock boat launch.

Something exciting is happening at Nockamixon State Park in Bucks County this weekend. At 10am on Sunday, Oct. 9, a ribbon will be cut on a new multi-use biking and hiking trail system that has been planned since 2008 and under construction for the last year. The still-unfinished trail system features more than 9 miles of completed trail in the 5,283-acre park's eastern area, which is known as Haycock Cove. According to a press release about the opening, more than 2,000 volunteer hours have been invested in the project by members of Valley Mountain Bikers and the Philadelphia Mountain Biking Association. A Celebration on Main Street

Hellertown Pharmacy announces its opening with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The mood was warm and jovial as residents escaped the cold outside and entered the balloon-filled Hellertown Pharmacy at 11 Main Street on Tuesday morning, in anticipation of the official ribbon cutting ceremony. A table of treats--including free Dunkin' Donuts coffee, munchkins, cookies, and a large decorative sheet cake announcing "Hellertown Pharmacy Grand Opening"--was available to patrons, as owner Lena Lasher officially opened her doors. Mayor Richard Fluck was present to conduct the ribbon-cutting ceremony.  “I think it’s great that a new pharmacy is opening. I think any new business we can bring to Hellertown is great. As mayor, that’s one of my things. I am very business-oriented and welcome any business that comes to town.” He …
