A number of local residents graduated from the Center Valley college in commencement exercises held Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013.

DeSales University held its mid-year commencement on Saturday, Jan. 19, in Billera Hall on the Center Valley campus. During the ceremony, Rev. Bernard F. O'Connor, OSFS, president of DeSales University, conferred degrees upon 156 graduating students for January 2013, including 92 bachelor's and 64 master's. Among them were: Diana Delsalto of Hellertown graduated with a bachelor's of science in psychology. Daniel Hausmann of Hellertown graduated with a bachelor's of science in nursing. Karen McDermott of Hellertown graduated with a master's of arts in education in technology in education K-12. Christopher Philbin of Hellertown graduated with a bachelor's of arts in management. Northampton Community College in Bethlehem Township has announced that the following Hellertown-area graduates were recognized at a commencement ceremony held Jan. 28, 2012 at the school.
