How Many Drinks Will Get You a DUI? (With Chart)

Check out this DUI chart to make sure you stay safe on the road this New Year's Eve.

When police pull drivers over for suspected drunk driving, officers ask them to perform field sobriety tests and to take a breath test to measure Blood Alcohol Content (BAC). A BAC test measures the percentage of alcohol present in a person's bloodstream. Pennsylvania's legal limit is 0.08. According to the Virginia Tech Alcohol Abuse Prevention website, every 40 minutes, 0.01 percent of alcohol leaves your system.  Check out the chart in the media portion of this article to see what your limit is. And remember, how you feel also depends on your alcohol tolerance. Of course--as always--if you choose to drink, make sure you have a designated driver.

Please remember 1 drink isn't necessarly one full glass or the glass served to you. Also not beverages are equal meaning some wine and beer have a higher alcohol content than others. Be aware 1 dring equals 1.25 oz of hard liquor, 12 oz of beer, or 5 oz of wine. And above all if you drink, don't risk it, please DON'T DRIVE. This goes the same if you are over tired. Driving when tired is just as …   more ›

How many yrs ago was that? And did he pay his fine, ect. How about some forgiveness. If he has gotten his life together then he might be a better rep for the experience. Or do you suggest that no recovering Alcoholics should be allowed to run for office? This guy, on the other hand, is obviously in the middle of a personal and marital crisis and should step down in order to deal with it.   more ›
