Center for Animal Health & Welfare Marks 100 Years
In an Easton gallery exhibit, the former Northampton County SPCA celebrates its anniversary while examining the challenges of caring for abandoned animals.
The Center for Animal Health & Welfare in Williams Township is marking its 100th anniversary this month with an unusual exhibit at an Easton art gallery. The exhibit opened Saturday at ConneXions Gallery, 213 Northampton St., where it spotlights the challenges the organization is facing while celebrating a milestone anniversary for the former Northampton County SPCA. The exhibit includes photos and memorabilia from the organization's century-long history. It also includes a display called “Boxes of Kittens,” an awareness exhibit that demonstrates what it takes for the organization to care for the boxes of kittens that are often literally left on the center's doorstep. I adopted my little Timmytwo from the Center and he has been with us one year on January 22nd. He has brought so much joy to our home. If you are older and your kids are gone, consider adopting a pet from this no kill shelter. Having Timmytwo feels like there is a child in our home again, bring fun and laughter and love.
