Hunters Causing Problems at Hill Climb, Police Say

After recent confrontations between trespassers and members of the Bushkill Motor Club, which owns the property colloquially known as the Steel City "Hill Climb," Lower Saucon Township Police say discarded roofing nails have been found.

Lower Saucon Township Police announced Thursday that they are investigating recent problems at the Steel City "Hill Climb" that may stem from several confrontations between hunters trespassing on the property and members of the Bushkill Motor Club, which owns it. In a press release, police said they were most recently dispatched to the club at 2248 Riverside Drive on Jan. 29, for a report of criminal mischief. However, reports of problems with trespassers date back at least two months, to Dec. 1, when "a hunter was confronted" about trespassing at the Hill Climb, police said. I hunt, and sad to say there's alot of hunters that don't seem to care about no trespassing signs.And now that they don't have to wear their license, if you catch them,there is now way to ID them. There is one family up on springtown hill rd. who hunt everyones property around them without permission even though it's all posted.   more ›
