Man Stole 178 Redbox Movies and Games, Police Say
Brandon Meyers, of Sycamore Street, Hellertown, stole 178 games and movies from a Redbox rental kiosk over several months, Lower Saucon Township Police say.
A Hellertown man has been charged with theft and receiving stolen property after allegedly stealing 178 games and Blu-Ray movies from the Redbox rental kiosk in the Giant Food Store, 1880 Leithsville Road, Lower Saucon Township Police say. In a press release, police identified the man as Brandon Meyers, of the first block of Sycamore Street, and said the value of the stolen items was $11,301. The thefts occurred over several months, with Meyers "returning empty Redbox cases and keeping the games and movies," police said. Earlier this year, a Hellertown Patch reader warned others to beware of someone who'd apparently stolen a movie he had attempted to rent from the Giant Redbox.
