If they would smile, I would give them five stars. Service is good, they are doing the best they can. I like the Post Office, it really feels like "community". Just wish they would practice smiling. It's contagious!

The Hellertown Post office has a stamp machine in the lobby which is frequently or permanently out of order. People stand in line 15 minutes or more to buy stamps. Yesterday I stood in a line with ten other people for over 15 minutes, waiting while the postal worker working at the counter allowed the customer whom she was serving to select the size cardboard box for his package ( he couldn't make up his mind which size to select) then she asked him, would he like bubble wrap, she had to go into the back to find the bubble wrap, then she wrapped and taped the package for him. This customer was not handicapped or disabled in any way that would prevent him from wrapping his own parcel prior to arriving at the Post Office. Then we all continued to wait while she allowed this same customer to fill out a form to be taped onto the package. This was only one of several pieces of mail that this customer was mailing. After his lengthy transaction was finally completed 4 of the customers waiting in line wanted to buy stamps. Would it be possible for the Hellertown Postmaster to get the stamp machine in the lobby fixed?

I drive to the PO in Center Valley, because this place is always packed and they are very slow. The locals take forever because they chat with the workers. I avoid it at all cost. They should get an auto postal center in the lobby for those who don't come to socialize.
