St. Theresa School's Bingo, SV Lions Breakfast, LV Pet Expo, Live Music at Ricardo's

Here's a look at some of the events that will be happening in the Saucon Valley area this weekend.

Thursday, Jan. 30

6 p.m., Live Acoustic Music featuring Abraham Weaver, Ricardo's Original Tavern House, 605 Main St., Hellertown. Come out and listen to Texas native Weaver perform an acoustic showcase like no other, "Texas style," every Thursday night at 6 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 31

6:30 p.m., Celebrate Recovery (Christ-centered support group), Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, 5900 Old Bethlehem Pike, Center Valley. 

Saturday, Feb. 1


10 a.m., Lehigh Valley Pet Expo, Ag Hall, Allentown Fairgrounds Complex, 302 N. 17th St., Allentown. The Pet Expo is designed to educate and entertain the public about the wonderful world of pets. Featuring many pet vendors, educational and entertaining performances, special attractions, hands-on petting opportunities, pet adoptions, and outstanding shopping for pet lovers and their pets. Attendees are allowed to bring well behaved pets to the expo. The expo will be held Saturday, Feb. 1 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults and $5 for children (ages 11 and under). 11 a.m., "Celebrate the Elf on the Shelf: A Birthday Tradition," special children's storytime event at Barnes & Noble, The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley, 2960 Center Valley Parkway, Center Valley.

6 p.m., St. Theresa School Annual Longaberger, Coach and Vera Bradley Bingo, St. Theresa School, 300 Leonard St., Hellertown. Tickets are $20 each. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase, as will door prizes and additional raffles. For tickets, call Lisa at 610-861-7399 or email theholub4@verizon.net. The snow date is Saturday, Feb. 8.

Sunday, Feb. 2

8 a.m., Saucon Valley Lions Breakfast, Se-Wy-Co Banquet Hall, 3621 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bethlehem. Full breakfast menu available along with table service. Eggs, omelets, pancakes, French toast, creamed chipped beef and hash browned potatoes. Meat choices: bacon, ham and sausage. February special is strawberry topped pancakes or French toast. Bring a non-perishable food item to donate and receive 50 cents off.
