Movie in the Park, Second Sunday Concert: This Weekend in Saucon Valley

A free screening of the family-friendly film "Jack the Giant Slayer" and a free concert in Hellertown's Dimmick Park will be highlights this weekend in the Saucon Valley.

Friday, Aug. 9

7 p.m. (dusk), Movie in the Park, "Jack the Giant Slayer" (2013), Dimmick Park, Constitution Avenue and Durham Street, Hellertown. Bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Refreshments available. Free. Sponsored by the Saucon Valley Business and Friends Association.

9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Lehigh Growers Market, Landis St. and Rt. 309, Coopersburg

11 a.m., Da Vinci Science Center's Gross Games "Stay Sanitized Relay Race," Da Vinci Science Center, 3145 Hamilton Blvd. Bypass, Allentown

5:30 p.m., HEP presents the final Second Sunday concert of 2013 in Dimmick Park, Constitution Avenue and Durham Street, Hellertown. Preshow performance by KeyStone A Cappella; main act performance by Mike Dugan and June Thomas (replacement for Philadelphia Funk Authority). Bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Refreshments available for purchase at the park pavilion. Sponsored by the Hellertown Enhancement Project.
