Hellertown-Lower Saucon Community Day: This Weekend in Saucon Valley

A highlight of this weekend in the Saucon Valley will be Hellertown-Lower Saucon Community Day in Dimmick Park.

Friday, Aug. 16

6 to 8 p.m., Cemetery Tours, Union Cemetery of Hellertown, 85 Main St., Hellertown. Learn about the history of five well-known former borough residents. Free (sponsored by the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce).

Dusk, Movie in the Park, Dimmick Park, Tobias Drive and Durham Street, Hellertown. Friday's feature film is "Jack the Giant Slayer" (2013). Refreshments available. Bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating on the grass. Free (sponsored by Saucon Valley Business and Friends Association).

Saturday, Aug. 17

8 a.m. to 3 p.m., St. George's Episcopal Church Yard Sale and Bake Sale, 735 Delaware Ave., Hellertown. A wide variety of household goods will be available. Pork barbecue will also be sold.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Hellertown-Lower Saucon Community Day, Dimmick Park, Tobias Drive and Durham Street, Hellertown. Browse wares offered by dozens of vendors, enjoy a wide variety of food, watch live entertainment, and much more. Sponsored by the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce. Free.

Sunday, Aug. 18

9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saucon Valley Farmers' Market, Water Street Park, Hellertown. Live music will be performed by Neon Light Airway.
