Puerta, Inghrim, Miller and Dowling Win Saucon Valley School Board Race
According to unofficial results, Republicans Ralph Puerta, Edward Inghrim and John Dowling and Democrat Sandra Miller were elected to fill four open seats on the board. Jeanne Reilly, Robert Phillips and Russell Lebkuecher were defeated.

Kern, Horiszny Re-elected to Lower Saucon Township Council
According to unofficial results, Republican incumbents Glenn Kern and Ron Horiszny were re-elected to Lower Saucon Township Council Tuesday. Democratic challenger Donna Louder was defeated.

Rieger, Nolf, McKenna and Hill Winners in Hellertown Borough Council Race
Republican Tom Rieger and Democrats Mike McKenna, Gail Nolf and James W. Hill were elected to four open seats on borough council, according to unofficial results. Republican challenger Linda Leewright was defeated.

L. Saucon Woman Pleads Guilty to Assault on Garbageman
A Lower Saucon Township woman who was charged last spring with assaulting a Reiss Bros. garbageman has pleaded guilty.

Resident Target of Check Scam, Lower Saucon Police Say
Police said the woman received a check for $2,595 along with a letter telling her she had won a $650,000 prize. In order to claim the prize, the woman was reportedly told she would have to pay a fee.

In a news release, police said three glass windows at the business were broken 'by what appears to be a smaller type projectile.'

Woman Rear-Ended Driver Whose Brakes Locked Up, Police Say
Pennsylvania State Police at Belfast said a woman who was driving on I-78 East in Lower Saucon Township was issued a citation for allegedly following too closely after she rear-ended another car Nov. 1.
