One-Room School Grad to Share Experiences

A graduate of the Lutz-Franklin School, Lawrence Kish will address members of the Lower Saucon Township Historical Society on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the schoolhouse.

A graduate of Lower Saucon Township's historic Lutz-Franklin School will address members of the Lower Saucon Township Historical Society Wednesday at 7 p.m.

In addition to his schoolboy days, Lawrence Kish will discuss his life after Lutz-Franklin, including his years at Bethlehem Steel and his service in the Korean War.

"This is a great opportunity to hear from someone who actually attended this schoolhouse," a press release about the event said.

The rural school, which was built in 1880, served its last class of students in 1958.

Lutz-Franklin School is located at 4216 Countryside Lane.

The presentation is free and guests are welcome to attend.
