Local Police, Firefighters, EMS to Be Treated to Breakfast

The Saucon Valley's hometown heroes will be thanked for their service at a Sept. 14 buffet breakfast at Dewey Fire Co. No. 1 in Hellertown. The breakfast is being sponsored by Saucon Community Bible Fellowship Church.

Editor's Note: The breakfast, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14, has been tentatively rescheduled for Sept. 25.

In recognition of their service, a local church plans to treat local police officers, firefighters and emergency first responders and their family members to a free buffet breakfast on Sept. 25.

Saucon Community Bible Fellowship Church in Lower Saucon Township is sponsoring the breakfast, which will be held at the Dewey Fire Company No. 1 banquet hall in Hellertown at 9 a.m.

All members of Se-Wy-Co Fire Co. and EMS, Dewey Fire Co. and EMS, Southeastern Fire Co., Steel City Fire Co., the Hellertown Police Department and the Lower Saucon Township Police Department are being invited to attend.

Emmy Award-winning WFMZ-TV Channel 69 News anchor and journalist Rob Vaughn will be the guest speaker at the event, according to an announcement posted on the Lower Saucon Township website.

Attendees are asked to RSVP with the number of family members that will be attending by calling the church office at 610-838-3111 or sending an email to info@sauconbfc.org.
