How Are You Keeping Cool Without the Pool?

The Hellertown Pool remains closed, due to a delayed pool liner installation project. How are you going to keep cool without it?

It's hot in Hellertown. School's out. And the beloved borough swimming pool is closed.

The Hellertown Community Pool's opening this year has been delayed because of the installation of a new pool liner.

Borough Manager Cathy Kichline reported earlier this month that the pool would not open until sometime after June 24.

Since an exact opening date is still unknown, pool patrons have been advised to monitor the borough's website and Facebook page for future updates on the rescheduled opening date.

A Facebook post by the borough on Monday indicated that "the contractor is close to finishing the liner replacement. Once complete it will be inspected and filled."

"Barring any unforeseen issues the contractor should turn the pool back over to us early this week," the borough added.

In the meantime, however, a heat wave is hitting the Saucon Valley.

Temperatures through Wednesday are forecast to be in the low 90s, with high humidity.

Tell us how you're going to keep cool during the heat wave without the use of the Hellertown Pool.
