Rail Trail 5K Will Benefit Boston Bombing Victims

Registration is open for the Saucon to Boston 5K Run/Walk for the One Fund, which will be held on the Saucon Rail Trail on Sunday, June 9.

A local resident is organizing a 5K run/walk on the Saucon Rail Trail, to raise money for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

Jerry Steward presented an overview of his plan for the Saucon to Boston 5K Run/Walk for the One Fund to Hellertown Borough Council May 6, explaining that the event had already been approved by the Saucon Rail Trail Oversight Commission.

Council unanimously approved a motion to allow the event to take place on the borough's portion of the rail trail.
