More Than 300 Pre-Registered for Rail Trail 10K
The inaugural Saucon Rail Trail 10K will be run on Labor Day Monday starting at 8:30am. Race proceeds will benefit the HCM Foundation, which supports cancer patients, survivors and their families.
On Monday, in Lower and Upper Saucon townships will host its first major event since .
The Labor Day 10K on the rail trail will begin and end at Upper Saucon Township Community Park at 8:30am.
The "out and back" race will continue north across Landis Mill, Spring Valley and Old Mill roads to a point south of Meadows Road, where it will turn around.

Race Director Chris Garges said there will be a water stop along the race route at .
Although the 10K is now closed for additional entries, Garges said that's because there's been an "incredible response" from runners, with nearly 330 pre-registered as of Saturday.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the HCM Foundation, a "non-profit organization that provides opportunities and financial support to cancer patients, survivors and their families," according to HCMFoundation.org.

The race is being coordinated by volunteers, and among the sponsors for the event are Brooks Running, , Powerbar, , Lamprey Systems, Physical Therapy by St. Luke’s, The Pidcock Company, Emerald Carpet and Flooring, ORE Rentals, Turkey Hill, A-Treat, Aardvark, The Finish Line Running Store and Rodale/Runners World.
