Hellertown Royals Bring Home League Championship

The hometown team swept the Starters Orioles to bring home another Blue Mountain League Championship on Aug. 11.

On Thursday, Aug. 11, the Hellertown Royals beat the Starters Orioles, 5-2, to bring the Blue Mountain League championship home to Hellertown.

The Royals, who swept the Orioles after a three-game semifinals sweep of the Easton Falcons, were down 2-0 in the bottom of the 6th inning when they managed to put 5 runs on the board. Through excellent pitching by Ryan Amey (#19), and spectacular backup from his fielders, the Royals prevented the Orioles from scoring any runs in the 7th inning and secured the championship.
