Saucon Rail Trail 10K Run

Brief Description

Come enjoy this inaugural Labor Day event on the beautiful Saucon Rail Trail. This 10K race will be an out and back course starting at the top of the Rail Trail ramp and finishing near the pavilion. There is a large children's play area right next to the finish. Finish in front of your friends and family at the pavilion! The event is limited to the first 300 entrants, don't miss out! Additional Details

Rain or shine event. Registration will be held in the Pavilion and will begin at 7:30am (There will be race day registration if the race does not reach capacity prior to the event.) All proceeds will benefit the HCM Foundation and a donation will be made to Upper Saucon Township to support their Park and Recreation Commission. HCM's mission is to raise money to help local families who are afflicted with cancer deal with its effects. More information can be found at www.hcmfoundation.org.

Fundraising

A pair of Brooks Running shoes will be given to the top two fundraisers. Interested participants please bring cash or a check made out HCM Foundation (a 501.3(c)) with their tax deductible donation and turn it in at registration so we may log your donation. The top fundraisers will receive a certificate for a free pair of Brooks Running shoes at the awards ceremony.

The Goods

All preregistered participants will receive a quality cotton t-shirt and a Brooks tote bag and / or sweat towel. Custom event socks for first 25 female and first 25 male finishers. (If event preregistration reaches >150 socks will be awarded to the top 50 male and top 50 female)

Awards

$75, $50 & $25 cash prizes to Overall male and female; A pair of Brooks Running shoes will be awarded to the top overall masters Male and Female. Unique rail road spikes to top 3 in Age Groups; Limited edition Saucon Rail Trail 10K coolmax socks will be given to the top 25 male and top 25 female finishers. (If event preregistration reaches >150 socks will be awarded to the top 50 male and top 50 female).

Age Groups

Male and Female Age Groups: 19+under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+over

Time limit / Walkers

This race is walker friendly, however the road crossings will be unsupported after 10am (15min mile). After 10am please use caution and obey all rules of the road and trail.
