Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit Family Answers

A charity golf tournament to be held at Silver Creek Country Club in Hellertown on May 21 will benefit the local nonprofit organization Family Answers.

A charity golf tournament that will be played at a local country club will benefit the nonprofit organization Family Answers, which is based in Allentown.

"Family Answers exists to provide affordable, high-quality, preventive, educational, supportive, and therapeutic services that nurture healthy family life in our communities," according to its mission statement.

Programs offered by the organization include counseling services, home healthcare assistance, a car loan program that helps low-income families, a child abuse prevention program, and educational programs for children, individuals and families.

The 13th annual Golf Classic to benefit Family Answers will be played at in Hellertown on Monday, May 21, 2012, rain or shine, and will feature a scramble format/shotgun start.

Registration will be held at 11:45am, during which a light lunch will be served.

The shotgun start will be at 12:30pm, with refreshments served on the course.

An awards dinner at 5:30pm will conclude the day, with awards to be presented for longest drive, straightest drive and closest to the pin, as well as team prizes. A grand prize of $5,000 will be presented to the winner of the tournament.

A live auction for four New York Yankees tickets and a limousine ride to and from the stadium will also be held, along with raffles.

The registration fee for players is $175, which includes an entry gift, golf cart, greens fee, on-course beverages and refreshments, and the awards dinner.
