Much of the day was spent wishing that viral pharyngitis would go the way of the dinosaurs.
It seemed like a day! Actually it was most of a morning.
5:30am - Awake after fitful night of coping with cough and sore throat.

7:14am - Welcome two pieces of toast and small cup of water.
7:28am - Greet doctor #2; have vital signs taken; answer questions about symptoms.
7:50am - Ride to radiology area for x-ray of chest and throat.
7:50am - Husband goes to hospital cafeteria for breakfast.
8:15am - Return to examination room; eat rest of toast.
8:28am - Respond favorably to doctor #1's report that x-rays look good.
8:55am - Wait for further instructions.
9:15am - Doctor #1 apologizes for delay due to malfunctioning printer.
9:20am - Sign papers acknowledging awareness of instructions.
9:28am - Drive to pharmacy to pick up prescription.
10:30am - Arrive at home thankful for available medical expertise.
10:30am through remainder of day - Wish that viral pharyngitis would join extinct species.
