SVFEI Plans Chili Cook-Off Fall Fundraiser

Tickets for a Nov. 15 chili cook-off with a silent auction, the community-wide fall fundraiser for the Saucon Valley Foundation For Educational Innovation, are now on sale at www.svfoundation.net.

Tickets for a chili cook-off with a silent auction, the community-wide fall fundraiser for the Saucon Valley Foundation For Educational Innovation, are now on sale at www.svfoundation.net.

From 7 to 11 p.m. on Nov. 15 at Silver Creek Country Club in Hellertown, local restaurants will be showcasing their individual chili creations and amateur chefs (parents and/or community members) can participate. Entry requirements for restaurants include: five gallons of chili, tasting cups and mini spoons. Amateur requirements include: 2½ gallons of chili only.

Tickets are $40 per person and $75 per couple. Visit www.svfoundation.net to purchase tickets in advance via PayPal. The ticket price includes a nacho and soft taco bar and a margarita bar.

The foundation is an autonomous organization with its own bylaws and a 501(c) (3) tax exempt status, separate and distinct from the Saucon Valley School Board.

SVFEI’s mission is to widen the scope of learning with a host of quality innovations for Saucon Valley students. Financial grants are issued to district-generated requests in the following areas: Technology and Learning, Arts and Education, Scholastic Enhancement, Cultural, Health and Wellness, Entrepreneurship as well as Professional Development.
