Muhlenberg College junior and Center Valley resident Chelsea Rivenbark was recently named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, the Allentown school announced in a news release.
Rivenbark, who is a member of Muhlenberg's women's cross country team, is a Southern Lehigh graduate.
To be named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, a student must be a sophomore or higher in class standing; a starter or key reserve on her team; and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average.
A double major in sociology and history, "Rivenbark helped the Mules to a strong season in 2013," the news release said.
She was the Mules' No. 4 or No. 5 runner for most of the year, she finished 13th overall at the Cedar Crest/Muhlenberg Invitational and she was the third Mule across the line at the Gettysburg Invitational. She was also the fourth runner to finish at the NCAA Mideast Regional.
Muhlenberg finished fifth at the conference championships and 16th at the regional meet, the news release said. The Mules also won their home meet—the Cedar Crest/Muhlenberg Invitational—for the second straight year.
