Saucon FBLA to Help Make Holidays Brighter for Less Fortunate

The members of Saucon Valley High School's Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter are asking local businesses to contribute gifts to their Holiday Giveaway project, which will help make the holidays brighter for less fortunate children.

Note: The following letter by Saucon Valley's FBLA officers was contributed to Patch.

The Saucon Valley Future Business Leaders of America is a club that offers students opportunities to explore and experience business situations in high school. Entering its third year, the club has proved to be wildly successful. The club’s membership has grown significantly over the last two years, surpassing 100 members. We strive to foster business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.

Recently, the club has begun to emphasize the importance of social responsibility. We have begun to undertake projects stemming from our philanthropic endeavors, such as running an Alex’s Lemonade Stand at multiple venues throughout the town. This holiday season, we have initiated a project to aid less fortunate families within our school district. We have implemented a Holiday Giveaway project where we raise funds to provide less fortunate children and their families with gifts and toys.
