Karine Polgar Named to Via All-Star Classic Team
The Saucon Valley senior will compete Saturday, March 31, in the 37th annual Via All-Star Basketball Classic. Polgar, a guard, will be a member of the Colonial League Girls team.
senior Karine Polgar, who was , has been named to the Colonial League Girls team that will compete in Saturday's 37th annual Via All-Star Basketball Classic at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem Township.
In a press release, Via said "the best players in the greater Lehigh Valley have been chosen to represent their high schools" in the classic, which raises funds for the nonprofit organization's programs for adults and children with disabilities.
The Colonial League Girls team will be coached by Southern Lehigh's Megan Dellegrotti, and will compete against a Lehigh Valley West team at 10:30am as part of the classic's "Via Super Saturday."

Via Super Saturday will begin at 10:30am at the college, and its "game format will follow the college model of 20 minute halves," according to the press release.
Tickets for Super Saturday will be available at the door ($5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors).
