  • Creating a "smart classroom" containing a smart board, technology stations, iPads with educational applications and wireless technology.
  • Expanding Red Door's science curriculum by adding a kid-sized mobile science lab and creating an environmental education outdoor classroom including gardens and a weather station.

"Golf in and of itself is a great model for learning," said Kristen Buckno, the director of the pre-school program. "There's plenty of science and math, and a three hour outdoor experience with one's friends is always fun!"

In addition to the game itself, other highlights of the day will include lunch and awards at 1:45pm and the announcement of raffle/silent auction winners at 3pm.

The format for the tournament will be a traditional scramble format, and prizes will be awarded for the top three low net teams, long drive and closest to the pin for men and women.

The deadline to enter the tournament is July 1, with a $150 regular individual registration fee due by then. An early registration fee of $120 is available for those who register by May 25. The registration fee for a foursome is $480 by May 25, or $520 by July 1.
