Heft uses bits of paper to create a unified surface. She gains her inspiration from artists such as Seurat, Miro, Chagall, and architect Antonio Gaudi. She considers her work to be a very interactive process. She states, "...every mark changes things, so I spend a considerable amount of time looking, imagining, pretending, visualizing, trying things out, and revising."

Lima paints bold perceptual imagery onto curved surfaces. Her artwork moves past traditional painting and transforms a two-dimensional image into a 3-dimensional environment. Lima says, "When pieces involve movement through space or the passing of time, it is to purposely evoke the next dimension, to delve into the potential manifestations of intellectual pursuits."

Both Heft and Lima teach part-time in NCC's fine arts program.

The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
