2-Hour Delay for Saucon Valley Students Tuesday

The Saucon Valley School District announced Monday evening that there will be a two-hour delayed opening of schools on Tuesday morning, due to very cold temperatures.

The Saucon Valley School District announced Monday evening that there will be a two-hour delayed opening of schools on Tuesday morning, due to very cold temperatures.

District offices will open at the normal time.

The low Tuesday morning is expected to be in the single digits, and the National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for wind chills as low as 14 below zero.

The advisory is in effect from 1 a.m. through 10 a.m. Tuesday.

During this time, there will be the "potential for hypothermia and frost bite to [occur on] unprotected skin in just a short period of time," the advisory stated.

Tuesday's high is forecast to be 14 degrees, and the low Tuesday night is forecast to be around 5.
