Where to Expect Road Work: Dec. 12-16

Road work? Yes, even though it's mid-December there is still scheduled road work in the Saucon Valley area.

This week the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that the following road projects will be taking place in our area (all projects are weather dependent):

• On Monday, Dec. 12, PennDOT maintenance forces will be performing crack sealing on Bingen Road between Hickory Hill Road and Black River Road in Lower Saucon Township. Lane restrictions with flagging may be in place from 9am to 2pm.
• From Monday, Dec. 12 to Thursday, Dec. 15, PennDOT maintenance forces will be clearing brush along Applebutter Road, Island Park Road and South 25h Street between Shimersville Road in Bethlehem and Freemansburg Avenue in Palmer Township. A portion of this road work will affect motorists on Applebutter Road in Lower Saucon Township. Lane restrictions with flagging may be in place from 9am to 2pm daily.
• On Friday, Dec. 16, PennDOT maintenance forces will be performing drainage work on Seidersville Road between Route 378 and South Mountain Drive in Lower Saucon Township. Lane restrictions with flagging may be in place from 9am to 2pm.
