Water Line Struck on Easton Road; Repairs Underway

The Borough of Hellertown announced Friday morning that a water line in the 1400 block of Easton Road had been struck by a local contractor, resulting in issues with water pressure and water clarity for nearby residents.

has turned out to be rather unlucky for the Hellertown residents who are experiencing issues with their water supply, following a construction-related mishap that occurred this morning.

According to borough officials, the problems began when a local contractor working in the 1400 block of Easton Road struck a water line.

" has had to isolate portions of the area while repairs are being made," said in an announcement posted on Hellertown Patch's Facebook page.

Residents whose water supply has been affected may be experiencing low or no water pressure, and cloudy water will probably result when pressure is restored, the borough said.

Repairs are currently underway, but as of mid-day there was not an estimated timeframe for restoration of full service in the area.
