Volunteers Still Needed for Compost Center

The Saucon Valley Compost Center, which is located at 2011 Springtown Hill Road, Lower Saucon Township, is recruiting volunteers to assist with running the center in the future, the township announced in its summer 2013 newsletter.

"Due to municipal funding limits, the operating days/hours of the compost center cannot be extended beyond the current schedule at this time," the township announcement stated. "However, expanded schedules could be considered in the future if an adequate number of volunteers step forward to assist the facility staff."

Anyone interested in volunteering to help out at the compost center should contact the township manager at manager@lowersaucontownship.org. 

Training and equipment will be provided to all volunteers.
