Several Township Road Projects' Completion on Hold

Lower Saucon Township officials recently announced via the township website that several road projects originally scheduled to be completed this year are now on hold.

Lower Saucon Township officials recently announced via the township website that several road projects originally scheduled to be completed this year are now on hold.

According the announcement, work on six roads in the township has been delayed "due to several unforeseen events, such as the Meadows Road Streambank Stabilization Project."

The Meadows Road project was an emergency road stabilization project performed by township public works employees in late September and early October.

The township Public Works Department will be unable to complete the paving of the leveling courses on the following township roads this season:

"The work on these roads will be delayed until the fall of 2014, and the final surface treatment of #8 stone and E3M oil will be applied in 2015," officials said.
