PennDOT Summer Intern Positions Available

The internships are open to full-time college students. Applications must be submitted by Friday, March 2.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is once again sponsoring a Summer Employment Program for college students, announced recently. The program runs from May through August and provides the permanent PennDOT workforce with supplemental summertime labor.

Interns are primarily used for summer maintenance duties and sign upgrade services, according to the announcement. They perform laboring duties in PennDOT maintenance organizations and at worksites along highways.

Summer interns are paid an hourly rate of $11.43. All applicants for the program must be enrolled in college full-time and be scheduled for classes during the Fall 2012 semester.
