PennDOT Announces Pothole Repairs in Lower Saucon

Potholes on Route 378 between Black River Road and the Lehigh County line will be patched this week.

If you regularly drive Route 378 in Lower Saucon Township, your ride is about to get a little smoother.

PennDOT plans to patch potholes on Route 378 between Black River Road and the Lehigh County line between March 9 and March 11, the state agency announced Friday.

The roadwork will be performed by PennDOT maintenance crews and will result in daytime lane restrictions with flagging between 9am and 2pm, the announcement issued by the District 5 Engineering Office stated.

Significant fluctuations in temperature, which have caused the thawing and refreezing of roadbeds during the past month, have resulted in the growth and expansion of potholes throughout the area.
